Accredited CE & CME · 6 credit hours
You learn this by living it. You go through the complete patient program yourself, reading what your patient or client reads and doing what they do, across exposure and response prevention, inference-based CBT, acceptance and commitment therapy, and OCD medication strategy.
Who it's for
A current program to evaluate end to end, experienced the way your patient experiences it.
You meet each model in the order a patient does, built up as you go. No prior training in these models is assumed.
Two starting points, the same finish. You've run the patient's program yourself.
Who earns credit
Continuing education for the behavioral-health and medical license types below, whether OCD is your specialty or part of a broader caseload. One course, one tuition.
CE credit provided through the American Psychological Association.
For LCSW, LMSW, and equivalent clinical social-work licensure.
For LMHC, LPC, LCPC, and equivalent counseling licensure.
For LMFT and equivalent licensure.
Continuing medical education (CME) for physicians who treat OCD, through Joint Accreditation.
Nursing continuing education for RNs and psychiatric NPs.
This activity is provided by CE Learning Systems. In support of improving patient care, CE Learning Systems is jointly accredited by the ACCME, the ACPE, and the ANCC to provide continuing education for the healthcare team. Continuing education credit for psychologists is provided through the co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology; the APA office maintains responsibility for the content. The activity is also recognized by New York State licensing boards for social work, mental health counseling, and marriage and family therapy. Whether your board accepts the credit can depend on your license and state. The full approval statements appear under CE Approvals on the registration page.
What you're paying for
This $120 course is the accredited CE and CME credential, with the exam, the certificate, and your six CE hours. The clinician dashboard is a separate $10 a month, the same price for every clinician. Federal anti-kickback rules require us to charge fair market value, so the price never depends on how many patients you refer.
Taking it does two things at once. You learn the treatment of OCD from the inside, brushing up or filling gaps across ERP, I-CBT, ACT, and medication. And you come away fluent in Conicia itself, the tool you will be using with patients.
Built to ease the work between sessions and support the treatment you deliver.
You can use Conicia whether or not you take the course, but the course is a great way to get deeply familiar while earning CE.
How it works
Enroll and pay on CE-Go's secure portal. One flat tuition of $120 covers all six hours.
Move through the full Conicia program: psychoeducation, structured exercises, in-the-moment tools, audio, and video lessons.
An exam and a short course evaluation confirm completion, back on CE-Go.
Your CE or CME certificate is available to download as soon as you finish, for your records and license renewal.
Learning objectives
Identify the shared doubt-compulsion loop underlying common and covert OCD presentations, including mental rituals and reassurance-seeking.
Describe the inhibitory-learning model of exposure and response prevention and apply it to building a graded exposure plan.
Explain how inference-based CBT locates the start of the obsessional sequence in a faulty inference, and list the reasoning devices OCD uses to make doubt feel real.
Describe how acceptance and commitment therapy reframes the relationship between intrusive thoughts, feelings, and valued action in OCD.
Summarize first-line medication strategy for OCD, including SSRI dose targets, adequate trial duration, and augmentation options.
Distinguish a lapse from a relapse and outline a relapse-prevention plan for patients and clients completing structured self-help.
What's covered
The course covers the treatment of OCD from several evidence-based angles, with each approach taught through the patient program rather than in the abstract.
Taught through an inhibitory-learning lens: how to build a graded plan, drop safety behaviors, and design exposures that update expectation rather than chase a fear rating to zero.
Inference-based CBT, or I-CBT: where an obsession actually begins, the reasoning tricks that make an imagined doubt feel real, and how to walk a person back to what their own senses tell them.
Reframing the relationship between intrusive thoughts, feelings, and action, so the work is anchored to values rather than to relief.
How OCD medication strategy differs from standard antidepressant dosing, including SSRI dose targets, trial length, and augmentation, whether you prescribe or just need to field what patients ask. It also covers a lesser-known technique, titrating a liquid formulation in tiny steps so that starting a medication can itself become a graded exposure, with the goal of easing the fear for patients who dread it.
Why experiential
You remember the treatment you've worked through yourself. This course has you do it, not just read about it.
The same psychoeducation, in the same order, with a clinician orientation framing each part.
The ladders, the logs, the values work, done as the patient does them, so you know exactly what you're guiding.
The model is no longer a set of slides you half-remember. It's a program you've moved through yourself.
Your presenter
Weston Scott Fisher, MD
Psychiatrist specializing in OCD · Medical Director, Anxiety Relief Clinic
He has spent more than a decade treating OCD. He spent more than seven years on faculty at UCSF, where he co-directed the Anxiety and OCD clinic, and has treated hundreds of people with the disorder. This course is that clinical work, written down and built so you can experience it the way a patient does.
"OCD's patterns are predictable. That's the good news. Once you can see them, you have something to work with."
How OCD works in the brain, and how medication fits, usually get a single slide in OCD trainings. Because a psychiatrist wrote this one, those parts are taught in plain language and in real depth, the way the therapy is.
Grounded in the evidence
Claims are generally anchored to the published literature, not invented.
The course content rests on the peer-reviewed evidence base for OCD treatment, including recent randomized trials and meta-analyses across ERP, I-CBT, ACT, and pharmacotherapy. A selection of the references:
